Neuropsychology is a specialist area of psychology that focuses on the diagnosis and management of conditions that impact brain function. Generally speaking, it blends knowledge from both neurology and psychology to examine how the brain affects everyday functioning.

Neuropsychologists are trained to understand the cognitive (i.e. thinking), emotional and behavioural effects of a wide range of brain conditions. By evaluating brain function through using highly specialised tests, neuropsychologists help clarify diagnoses, provide treatment recommendations, and develop personalised strategies to support individuals in daily life, work, and study.
